@The Economic Times: Columbia Asia Group, Asia’s leading hospital chain, plans to increase its operations in India by opening 8 more multi-speciality community hospitals with a total capacity of 800 beds by mid-2012.
The group has apportioned a total investment of INR 8 bn for the 14 hospitals. Currently, the group is building two 100 bed community hospitals in Ghaziabad and Chandigarh.
Six more such hospitals are to be set up in Dehradun, Lucknow, Jalandhar, Meerut, Pune and Ahmedabad by 2012.
