@MoneyControl: Preludesys India, one of the leading IT enabled service provider has filed a Draft Red Hearing Prospectus worth INR 813 mn for public issue. The company plans to utilize the issue proceeds to expand its presence in the global market.

Currently, some of its major plans comprise of an investment of around INR 112 mn to establish a Global Delivery Centre, investing a sum of INR 160 mn for setting up 8 branch offices across USA and the Asia Pacific, an investment of approximately INR 91 mn to enhance its foothold in the enterprise mobility solution market and lastly repaying an existing loan of INR 80 mn.

Telecom mergers and acquisitions norms relaxed by government

@TheEconomicTimes: Government of India has decided to relax the merger and acquisition (M&A) norms in the telecom sector. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) suggested the government to loosen up the M&A regulations in the telecom industry and permit spectrum-sharing among telecom companies.

Mergers and acquisitions will be automatic applicable on new telecom errant, if its combined market share is less than 35% and spectrum holding is less than 25%. In the case where the market cap above 35% but less than 60%, TRAI will look into the matter to evade monopoly in the market. The government is also considering on levying a one-time fee on telecos for holding spectrum past 6.2 MHz.
